Chiropractic
For many people the term ‘chiropractor’ is synonymous with bone cracking and pain. And while there is not anything wrong with physically manipulating (or “bone cracking”), we believe there are other treatment methods. Therefore, at Dynamic Spine & Neuropathy, we do things differently! To begin with, your initial visit will not include any adjustments. At your first visit, you will work with a case manager to make certain your medical history is completely documented, including all of the medications you are taking. We will also take X-Rays of your back, neck, and spine. Our doctors will listen to understand your pain and will ask questions to ensure a thorough understanding.
Once the X-Rays have been read, you will return for a second visit, or Report of Finding visit. At this visit, the doctor will explain what he believes the root cause of your pain is – and if he can help. If he believes he can help your pain, he will give you his estimate on the number of visits he believes it will take to help you.
Chiropractic treatments are completed using an Arthrostim instrument (this is different than an activator some chiropractic doctors use) and wedges. The Arthrostim instrument uses pulses to apply direct pressure to the affected area without causing pain. This method allows us to provide targeted and precise treatment, which facilitates fixing the problem. This is why we say, “Don’t Fight The Pain, Fix The Problem!”
Scoliosis
Scoliosis is a sideways curve in your backbone (spine). The angle of the curve may be small, large, or somewhere in between. But anything that measures more than 10 degrees on an X-Ray is considered scoliosis. Doctors may use the letters “C” and “S” to describe the curve.
